Welcome to Conspiracy Culture International

The global impact of the “brave-new information age” and its operating system, the so-called “new media” was profoundly demonstrated during the 2016 US Presidential election. As opposed to being a cathartic event, Election Day was chillingly divisive. The outcome caught many people… many factions, by surprise. For some… their bewilderment raised suspicions of the fidelity of a political process ostensibly designed: “of the people, by the people & for the people.” For others… their worst suspicions were confirmed.

In the wake of Brexit and with predictions of a surge in far-right political popularity in upcoming national elections in Europe, we appear to be in the midst of an internationally reactionary, populist/nationalist/alt-right convulsion. As the Donald loads his cabinet with big oil execs, bankers and generals, the US transition is poised to go from bankrupt democracy to rising corporatocracy. Or maybe the PTB facade is slipping...

It can be argued that what we witnessed being played out on November 9th in the US was a rare glimpse of the true machinations of globally impactful power. Some (whose opinion we respect in such matters) contend that the result revealed a de facto military junta… a power play by “military intelligence” over the central intelligence agency. While the CIA had been favored by the Obama regime, the Trump regime clearly prefers MI. The CIA’s subsequent “leaked” revelations of Russian intrigue into US affairs in 2016 supports this theory.

However, as of this writing, this is conjecture… what actually went down may be even more exotic. The fact that the outcome was so widely unanticipated indicates that the usual smoke and mirrors of the Hegemony fell away for a brief moment. Such international disarray is rarely witnessed by the general population. It only occurs when a major shift in power takes place... when the powers themselves are in disarray. But there are other powers, other global forces at play here in the brave new information age…

Another significant power shift was evidenced in the 2016 campaign. The shift of which I speak has been the rise of the afore-mentioned Alt-right, in global affairs. This is not an endorsement of neo-fascism… far from it. The Alt-right is but one small, fearful & hateful reactionary faction of a much larger, globally impactful phenomenon. The phenomena to which I refer, is the global recognition, respect, and adoption of what once was a marginalized fringe culture. Witness the rise of Conspiracy Culture International.

Not long ago, if a commentator spoke of a Shadow Government or the Deep State, let alone the Kennedy assassinations, fake moon landings or the Roswell incident, he or she would have been promptly labeled a fanatic, a kook, or worse… a conspiracy theorist. With the media frenzy leading up to the 2016 US elections, conspiracy theory became legitimized… became mainstream. Conspiracy theory has long been associated with the political right-wing... hence the widely reported rise of the Alt-right, by pop-media. This is a narrow, misleading interpretation of the rise and the impact of Conspiracy Culture International.

Conspiracy Culture, for want of a more accurate descriptor, is a massive, diverse, world-wide phenomenon. It embraces the seemingly divergent communities that monitor or adhere to not only Conspiracy & Deep State theory... but ancient alien & alien abduction narratives, new age philosophies, neo-religious beliefs, PSI phenomena & the paranormal, astrology & magick… even the eccentric Electric Universe theory. Far from being the intellectual playground of the Alt-right, such beliefs are held by all walks of life. The ascending Conspiracy Culture is as diverse as the world’s population.

The true rise of conspiracy theory as a mainstream phenomenon is driven by a pervasive mistrust of government, political institutions, the commoditization of science and multi-national corporate structure. In short: The dominator (or predator) culture. This mistrust is shared by liberals and conservatives alike… alt-right and new left. It goes beyond the political, the national, to the very fabric of modern global culture. Conspiracy Culture International is a response to the quickening of cultural (and climate) change… it is a product… a response… to this acceleration. And yes, it has a spiritual component.

Rise of the new, noösphere…

The noösphere (noʊ.əsfɪər) is defined as the sphere of human thought. The word derives from the Greek νοῦς (nous "mind") and σφαῖρα (sphaira "sphere"), in lexical analogy to "atmosphere" and "biosphere". It was popularized by the 20th-century heretic, Pierre Teilhard de Chardin in 1922, with his theory on Cosmogenesis.

The noösphere can be considered a third successive layer or sphere of development of the planet Earth. The first, foundational sphere is the geosphere, or the planet herself, which is comprised of inanimate matter and geologic processes. The second sphere is the biosphere, or biological life. The third sphere… the noösphere… is the sphere of thought encircling the earth that has emerged through evolution as a consequence of growth in complexity of consciousness. Just as the emergence of life fundamentally transformed the geosphere, so did the emergence of human (as well as other species) cognition fundamentally transform the biosphere.

Our theory of the new, noösphere incorporates the creation and proliferation of the World Wide Web, with all its associated technologies, as part of the third strata of planetary development. We have previously described this communication network as the “infosphere.” The accelerating partnership of man and machine (ie: humans and the internet) as a mechanism of the new, noösphere has ominously been labeled: Technological Singularity (but this is another thread of the tale, best told another time). Suffice it to say that humanity and our technological tools are inseparable as the sphere of human thought.

The new, noösphere is inclusive enough to incorporate Gaia Hypothesis within the processes of all three strata. This inclusion would imply a planetary sentience. This places humanity as part of the process, not the ultimate center of it. Again, this quickening of evolution is evidenced by the current increase in geologic activity, the acceleration of climate change and the planetary mammalian rise in consciousness. Each is an example of a hastening of the three developmental spheres of the planet.

We would argue that this is an interrelated unfolding of the three spheres, in tandem, as an expression of the system as a whole. The accompanying rise of Conspiracy Culture International represents a fundamental shift in the workings of information flow, worldwide. The demonization of the press is a symptom of this shift, as is the rise in importance of a certain somebody’s infamous twitter feed. These are symptoms of the immediacy of information exchange.

None Dare Call it Conspiracy!

The naming of a thing is itself a powerful act. How we think about a thing is influenced by what we call it. So in labeling the current trend in culture... “Conspiracy Culture International” we must be mindful of the connotations. Everyone is entitled to their own connotations, thank you very much… so here is our foundational thinking in the title...

The etymology of the word “Conspire” traces back to circa 1325 CE, from Middle English (Anglo-French): conspirer, from Latin: conspirare “to agree, unite or act in harmony… literally: to breathe together" (con- + spīrāre to breathe; see spirant, spirit). It was also originally harmonically associated with "to blow together" ie: musical instruments… "to sound in unison."

The understanding of the origin of the word “conspire” implies a much less sinister interpretation. Per the original usage, conspiracy denotes breathing together. In this day and age, we all need to not only take a breath, but we need to breathe together. After all, at the end of the day… we are all in this together. All humans... all flora and fauna… we all walk upon this Mother Earth together. Remember… our planet’s diameter is a mere 7,900 miles. Such a small speck in the vastness of the cosmos.

Additionally, the root of the word shares the same origin as the word “spirit.” This brings us back to the spiritual component, mentioned above. With Conspiracy Culture International, we must put aside the fear and mistrust being generated by current global affairs. We recognize fear as a tactic of the dominator predator culture, meant to divide and conquer. Should we all literally breath together, in the meditative sense, we will recognize that we, as a planet, are truly “all in this together.” We harness the power of the new, noösphere for the betterment of all.

Conspiracy Culture International need not be a knee-jerk fearful reaction to the rise in immigration. The ramification of Syrian Refugees impacting Europe will pale in comparison to the impending continental exodus driven by climate change. In the years ahead, we will all need to understand the root causes of such movement of the people… and seek conducive, compassionate responses and solutions.

How this all plays out is unclear, as we are in process. Not all the proverbial cards have been played. The months and years ahead will be exceedingly interesting, to say the least. The idea of a Conspiracy Culture International may play out in different ways. The nature of how it plays out… is up to us. Hope springs eternal. However, for the cynics among us, I leave you with a quote from that rascally old heretic, Teilhard…

“The future belongs to those who give the next generation reason for hope.”

Return of the Archons Pt 4 – epilogue

In part one of the Archons series we examined the Archon mythology from a political/historical perspective. We drew a comparison with the great science fiction author, Philip K Dick’s infamous 2-3-74 incident… accordingly, The Empire Never Ended.

In part two, we explored the ancient Gnostic mythology of spiritual, occult forces, ancient astronaut theory, extra-terrestrial contact and modern ufology. Much of our researched Archon-as-extra-terrestrial material came from: metahistory.org and author John Lash. It soon became clear that Lash devoted much of his material to the correlation between ancient Gnostic mythology and the works of the granddaddy of armchair shamanism… the one and only Carlos Castaneda.

In part three, we examined Castaneda's final book, wherein Castaneda’s protagonist (antagonist?) …the Toltec sorcerer, Don Juan… challenges Castaneda to reconcile man's intelligence with the stupidity of his systems of beliefs, of his contradictory behavior. Don Juan relates this blatant contradiction in human intelligence to what he calls "the topic of topics," "the most serious topic in sorcery." This topic is predation. To the horrified astonishment of his apprentice, the elder sorcerer explains how humanity has been infiltrated by an alien mind parasite...

“We have a predator that came from the depths of the cosmos and took over the rule of our lives. Human beings are its prisoners. The predator is our lord and master. It has rendered us docile, helpless. If we want to protest, it suppresses our protest. If we want to act independently, it demands that we don't do so...”

- from “The Active Side of Infinity” by Carlos Castaneda

Lash interpreted the Gnostic materials to suggest that humans possess a natural or “native mind” that is part of, and in tune with a perceived cosmic, universal intelligence. This native mind gets co-opted by an invasive, predatory intelligence, or mental construct, perpetuated by the (Gnostic) archons. Toltec sorcerers (per Castaneda) knew the archons as: “Flyers” and called this invasive mental construct the: “foreign installation.”

For purposes of illustrating Tek-Gnostics mythology, it is the concept of the foreign installation that is especially enlightening. In our modern world, we recognize the imposition of a variety mental constructs upon our natural mind… the seat of consciousness that we at Tek-Gnostics refer to as the “indigenous mind.” These mental or psychic intrusions take many forms. Advertising, from the dark wizards on Madison Avenue… Gossip, from our friends and neighbors… A variety of mental bombardments from the likes of facebook & twitter… you get the picture.

All of these intrusions interfere with our indigenous mind. These foreign installations seek to convert the way we think, in a way that is more favorable to their (ie: mental usurpers) motivations. Many of these psychic foreign intruders are exceptionally good at what they do. Their methods are very sophisticated and often are ingeniously entertaining. We are dazzled and our innate mental defenses are somewhat disarmed by sparkly, creative forms of amusement. This is the devious device wherein advertising gains its deceptive power. Accordingly, language is magick and eloquence is enchantment...

The Tek-Gnostics school of thought contends that there is little difference between “the effects” of the Toltec shamanic Flyers, Gnostic Archons, or the modern mind virus/meme wielded by Madison Avenue wizards. They share a common violation of intrusion and predation. The difference that separates these “entities” is primarily contextual. Different cultures view and describe phenomena according to their beliefs or place in time. Indeed the foreign installation takes many forms.

Psychic invasion can be taken seriously, if not literally. That is, the effects of such intrusion are equally damaging to the individual’s psyche, regardless of whether it originated from alien intruders, archonic entities, advertising agencies, or some MKULTRA/OFTEN psy-op… the intrusion itself is real. The foreign installation is just that… foreign… alien… originating outside of “self.”

The modern study of the intrusive mental construct phenomena is called: Memetics. As many of you know, Memetic theory explores mental content and the spread of viral cultural ideas… and is based on an analogy with Darwinian evolution, originating from the popularization of Richard Dawkins' 1976 book: The Selfish Gene. Proponents describe memetics as an approach to evolutionary models of cultural information transfer. In the words of historian and social critic, Morris Berman: "An idea is something you have… an ideology is something that has you."

At this point, it is important to make clear that we @ Tek-Gnostics do not favor or impose any particular world view, ideology or belief. That understanding… that path… is for your steps alone. We all choose our own reality vectors. The choosing, is each our own responsibility, as sentient beings. Whether you, dear reader, choose to believe in science, spiritualism or synchronicity… is a conspiracy solely between you and universe. As mentioned above, this interface was interpreted by the Gnostics and Toltecs as the natural or “native mind” that is part of, and in tune with a perceived cosmic, universal intelligence.

However, in so choosing… we are not free from natural consequences… so choose wisely. With that said…  and  regardless of point of origin, the foreign installation still wants to mess with us. This being the case, countermeasures are likely called for. It is interesting to note that, in going over the Gnostic/Castaneda material, Lash pointed out that…

“Don Juan makes a number of statements pertinent to strategies against alien intrusion. He says that the sorcerers of ancient times ‘found out that if they taxed the flyers’ mind with inner silence, the foreign installation would flee, giving to any one of the practitioners involved in this maneuver the total certainty of the mind’s foreign origin.’ In other words, the realization that another mind can operate in our minds only becomes fully clear and certain when the foreign mind has been exposed and expelled.”

This sounds suspiciously like an ancient analogy that describes the beneficial effect of meditation, upon the practitioner. Achieving a calm, centered, meditative state… quieting the mind from our own incessant mental chatter… causes the internal dialog… the foreign installation… to flee. In a meditative state, it becomes clear that our internal dialog is superficial… insincere, even artificial. It is as if these superfluous thoughts were imposed upon us.

Again, we all choose our own reality vectors. Call it meditation, prayer, mindfulness, contemplation or consciousness hacking. The ancient Gnostics, the Toltec sorcerers, were describing a methodology. In their ancient codices and texts, they were creating field guides. They were chronicling technologies… countermeasures… to combat the foreign installation.

So too, do we today concern ourselves with developing countermeasures to contend with the foreign installation. We may use contemporary terminology. The tekgnostic world view may utilize metaphors such as “mind virus” or “meme” to refer to the foreign installation. We may speak in terms of consciousness hacking, as opposed to prayer, in describing such countermeasures. Whatever mythology we pursue… those among us who develop techniques to quiet our minds, recognize the predator… the foreign intrusion. Our internal exercises erase… delete… the foreign installation.

We describe these narratives, these reality vectors as mythologies. Again, they can also be considered field guides. The modern metaphors… the modern technologies can be included alongside the ancient ones. More tools for the psychic toolbox.

We take responsibility for our own nervous system. We exercise the responsibility to overwrite these inhibiting and interfering mind viruses. We reboot our consciousness to ensure our operating systems do not get bogged down by unwanted programs. We choose to uninstall the foreign installation. By what (whose?) authority do we take these measures, you might ask? We at Tek-Gnostics like to refer to this authority… this autonomy as… free will.

Singularity Update – $10mil Grant to study Ethics of A.I.

In 1941, science-fiction writer Isaac Asimov stated "The Three Laws of Robotics," in his short story "Runaround."

Law One: A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.

Law Two: A robot must obey orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.

Law Three: A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Laws.

These laws come from the world of science fiction, but the real world is catching up. This month, a law firm gave Pittsburgh's Carnegie Mellon University $10 million to explore the ethics of artificial intelligence or AI. This comes after industry leaders recently joined together to form the group called the Partnership on Artificial Intelligence to Benefit People and Society.

Peter Kalis is chairman of the law firm, K&L Gates. He says technology is dashing ahead of the law, leading to questions that were never taken seriously before. Such as what happens when you make robots that are smart, independent thinkers… and then try to limit their autonomy?

Kalis suggests that one day we'll want laws to keep our autonomous robots from running amok, but that we'll also have to consider the ramifications of extending these potentially sentient AI entities legal protections, as defined by the U.S. Constitution.

"The Constitution says that every person should benefit from equal protection under the law. Well, I don't think anyone contemplated that person would include an artificially intelligent robot," Kalis says. "Yet I hear people seriously maintaining that artificially intelligent robots ought to replace judges. When we get to that point, it's a matter of profound constitutional and social consequence for any country, any nation which prizes the rule of law."

With the law firm's gift, Carnegie Mellon President Subra Suresh says the university will be able to dig into issues now emerging within automated industries… "Take driverless cars," he says. "If there's an accident involving a driverless car, what policies do we have in place? What kind of insurance coverage do they have? And who needs to take insurance?"

The issues go beyond self-driving cars and renegade robots. Inside the next generation of smartphones, in those chips embedded in home appliances, and the ever-expanding collection of personal data being stored in the "cloud," questions about what's right and wrong are open to study.

So are Asimov's three laws of robotics all there is to govern AI right now? ...and is it necessary to have a moral guideline that everyone can understand? "I think putting all three laws into one: Do no harm, could be the very first one," Suresh says. He says humanity today is approaching "an interesting point at the intersection of humans and technology" …one we don't have any prior experience with...

Return of the Archons Pt 3 – Toltec Predators

“We have a predator that came from the depths of the cosmos and took over the rule of our lives. Human beings are its prisoners. The predator is our lord and master. It has rendered us docile, helpless. If we want to protest, it suppresses our protest. If we want to act independently, it demands that we don't do so...”

- from “The Active Side of Infinity” by Carlos Castaneda

In Part one of the Return of the Archons series, we examined the Archon mythology from a political/historical perspective, drawing similarities between biblical era Archons, ie: bureaucrat or petty ruler… and the intellectual erosion of our contemporary politicians. We then explored the great science fiction author, Philip K Dick’s infamous 2-3-74 incident… accordingly, The Empire Never Ended.

In Part two, we then explored the ancient Gnostic mythology of spiritual, occult forces, impacting humanity. Within the ancient Gnostic writings, known as the Nag Hammadi Codices, a strange narrative emerged, correlating the Gnostic understanding of the Archons with Ancient Astronaut Theory, extra-terrestrial contact and modern ufology. Much of our researched Archon-as-extra-terrestrial material came from: metahistory.org and author John Lash.

Delving into Lash’s work, it soon became clear that he devoted much of his material to the correlation between ancient Gnostic mythology and the works of the granddaddy of armchair shamanism… the one and only Carlos Castaneda. What follows is our investigation into this intriguing theory…

"In Castaneda's final book, The Active Side of Infinity (1998), Don Juan challenges Castaneda to reconcile man's intelligence with the stupidity of his systems of beliefs... the stupidity of his contradictory behavior. Don Juan relates this blatant contradiction in human intelligence to what he calls "the topic of topics," "the most serious topic in sorcery." This topic is predation. To the horrified astonishment of his apprentice, the elder sorcerer explains how the human mind has been infiltrated by an alien intelligence:

We have a predator that came from the depths of the cosmos and took over the rule of our lives. Human beings are its prisoners. The predator is our lord and master. It has rendered us docile, helpless. If we want to protest, it suppresses our protest. If we want to act independently, it demands that we don't do so... Sorcerers believe that the predators have given us our systems of beliefs, our ideas of good and evil, our social mores. They are the ones who set up our hopes and expectations and dreams of success or failure. They have given us covetousness, greed and cowardice. It is the predators who make us complacent and egomaniacal.

According to Don Juan, the sorcerers of ancient Mexico called the predator, the flyer: because it leaps through the air... It is a big shadow, impenetrably black, a black shadow that jumps through the air."

- John Lash

Lash goes on to correlate Castaneda’s “Flyer” predators with the Gnostic “Archons” whom he refers to as “Shadow Creatures.” He proposes many parallels, suggesting striking similarities between the Toltec Sorcerers Flyers, archaic Archons and modern depictions of so-called “Gray” (and reptilian) aliens.

Lash interpreted the Gnostic materials to suggest that humans possess a natural or “native mind” that is part of, and in tune with a perceived cosmic, universal intelligence. This “indigenous mind” has been co-opted by an invasive, predatory intelligence, or mental construct, perpetuated by the archons. This invasion is by means of the psychic or mental realm, as opposed to a metal-hulled attack-ship landing on Earth and spewing out (the Demiurge’s) invading minions.

Again, Lash contends that the Toltec sorcerers knew the archons as: “Flyers” and called this invasive mental construct the: “foreign installation.” Per the sorcerers, this divine invasion is nearly complete. However, the sorcerers: "found out that if they taxed the flyers' mind with inner silence, the foreign installation would flee, giving to any one of the practitioners involved in this maneuver the total certainty of the mind's foreign origin."

Per Lash: these predatory entities are said to "abduct souls by night," a precise description of modern ET abductions. The adept in the Mysteries learns to repel the Archons with magical formulas (mantras) and magical passes or gestures of power (mudras). In some texts, the encounter with the Archons is structured according to the system of "planetary spheres."

The adept who practices astral projection, lucid dreaming or "manipulations of the double" (as in Castaneda) is said to face the Archons in a kind of computer-game maze of seven levels, corresponding to the seven planets. At each level, the adept is unable to continue unless he confronts the "gatekeepers," using magical passes and words.

The archetypal format of the "journey through the planetary spheres" was well-known in antiquity, particularly in schools of Hermetics and Kabbalah. Lash compares the Gnostic ascent through the seven spheres with the raising of “kundalini” through the seven chakras in Indian yogic traditions. The correlation works especially well if we equate the "serpent worship" of certain Gnostic cults with Kundalini yoga practice (which may in turn be equated with "the fire from within" and the Plumed Serpent in several Castaneda books).

Finally, Lash speculates that: the Toltec sorcerers would also have been adepts of Kundalini yoga, cultivating "the fire from within." Their encounters with the flyers might not have been formalized into a seven-level test-game, but the same experiences are indicated in all three traditions: Toltec, yogic, and Gnostic. Gnostics believed that the force of Kundalini, or the ambient field generated by that force, served as protection from the Archons.

From Lash’s material, we would go on to speculate that by inference, Lash’s theory suggests that the ancient Toltec, Hindi and Gnostic mystics shared a common prehistoric mythology. This ties in conveniently with current ancient astronaut theory that contends a globally intact, pre-diluvian mother culture existed in our distant past. This mother culture is evidenced by the architectural similarity of prehistoric pyramidal structures, around the planet.

There is much more material, pertaining to this and similar mysteries, readily available for the intrepid psychonaut to explore on-line. If this topic is of interest, check out the materials at Metahistory, as well as materials found at Biblioteca Pleyades.

We leave you, dear intrepid psychonaut, with a modernized archon encounter scenario that has been adapted from Gnostic materials discovered within the Nag Hammadi Library…

Whenever you are seized and you undergo mortal fear, perceived entities may turn on you, thinking they can capture you. And in particular, three entities will seize you… those who pose as toll collectors. Not only do they demand toll, but they take away souls by theft.

Now, when you come under their power, one of them, who is the overseer will say to you: "Who are you, and where are you from?"  You are then to say to him:  "I am a child of humanity and I am from the Source."

He will then say to you: "What sort of child are you, and to what Source do you belong?"  You are to say to him:  "I am from the pre-existent Source, and I am the offspring of the Source."

Then he will say to you:  "Why were you sent out from the Source?" Then you are to say to him:  "I came from the Pre-existent One so that I might behold those of my kind and those who are alien."

And he will say to you:  "What are these alien beings?"  You are to say to him: "They are not entirely alien, for they are from the Fallen Sophia, the female divinity (Mother Earth) who produced them when she brought the human race down from the Source, the realm of the Pre-Existent One. So they are not entirely alien, but they are our kin. They are indeed so because she who is their matrix, Sophia, is from the Source. At the same time they are alien because Sophia did not combine with her like in the Source (her divine male counterpart), when she produced them."

When he also says to you:  "Where will you go now?" You are to say to him:  "To the place when I came, the Source, there shall I return."

And if you respond in this manner, you will escape their attacks.

Nobody for President Part 2 – Revolution! (updated)

You say you’ll change the constitution… well, you know…
We all want to change your head.
You tell me it’s the institution… well, you know…
You better free your mind instead.

- from “Revolution” by John Lennon & Paul McCartney

In part one of this Huge yet deplorable political rant… we made a half-Sirius pitch for the now-obvious candidate of choice… NOBODY. We pointed out that of all the candidates… Democrat & Green… Republican & Libertarian… Nobody has all the answers! Nobody keeps her election promises. Nobody is a candidate we can count on! Nobody listens to your concerns. Nobody tells the truth. Nobody will lower your taxes. Nobody will defend your unalienable rights of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. And last but certainly not least… Nobody makes apple pie better than Mom!

As we close in on Election Day, the campaign… indeed the entire political process… continues to become more surreal. We should not be surprised that “the Donald” is the obvious outcome of the reality-show, violently gluttonous, Instagramic culture that is transforming our planet’s infosphere. Nor should we be surprised that what is left of the political establishment, left & right, would rally around Hillary… the only traditional candidate left standing. In times like these, the idea of voting for “none of the above” for President does not seem to be that crazy of a response to our socio-political surrealism.

Rumors of Russian Hackers disrupting the US political process, utilizing surrogate players like Wikileaks… denial of service attacks, crippling the Eastern Seaboard’s connectivity… the resulting rekindled debate over “off shoring” (domestic business operations and jobs going Overseas) by US-based multinational corporations… all these disruptive influences underscore the fact that we appear to be rapidly moving into an era that was prophesized by the dystopian cyberpunk genre, ala: William Gibson.

Welcome to the future, chump... the revolution has already begun.

It is worth commenting on the way our national pop-media has characterized the rise of the “Conspiracy Culture” within this election cycle as “Alt Right” and essentially “Wingnut.” As we all know, the so-called conspiracy culture (CC) comes in all stripes… left, right and in the middle… from ranting radical to articulate brilliance. What the press is missing in their characterization of the CC, is the common thread of… beyond rectifying a dysfunctional government… a sincere desire to get to the bottom of the bureaucratic deception… to get to the truth.

In the upcoming election… it is critically important that we all get our head straight… get clear on the importance of the choices we make at the polling booth. Let us proceed with the knowledge that in turbulent times… those with cooler heads will prevail. So in these techno-political times we find ourselves in… a final piece of advice from that great futurist: R Buckminster Fuller: DARE TO BE NAIVE!

As we had concluded in part one of this series… “Flawed as the process is” ...don't sit on your hands at home on Election Day. Participate in what is left of the American democratic process… lord knows the Russian hackers are! The system ain’t rigged in the way the Donald is insinuating… it will only be rigged if we don’t exercise our right (and responsibility) to vote. It will only be rigged if we let voter suppression tactics stop us.

Have the naiveté to go to the polling booth and cast your ballot! Don't believe the polls! Vote your heart. Vote your conscience. Vote on issues that matter to you. Vote for conventional Clinton or fascist Trump… if that is what you truly believe. If you must, write in “none of the above.” A vote for nobody is still a vote. A write-in vote for nobody is far more of an authentic and powerful statement than not bothering to vote at all. And remember... Love trumps Hate!

Update: Chris Knowles, over at the Secret Sun, has a particularly nuanced take on the part that the Deep State may indeed be playing in this election cycle… check it out here: Election 2016: You May Not Be Interested in Parapolitics.

Age of Discord

We had touched upon the idea of the rise and fall of civilizations in an earlier post: Return of the Archons (pt 1). We focused upon the well-worn metaphor that drew parallels between the fall of the Roman Empire and the impending decline of our own, tattered civilization. In a recent article in the on-line magazine: Salon, they review anthropologist Peter Turchin’s new book: “Ages of Discord: A Structural-Demographic Analysis of American History.”

Having been indoctrinated in the ways of Discordia, via the Legion of Dynamic Discord, our ears perked up at the subject matter…

“Everything from skyrocketing inequality and political gridlock to white working class angst and the rise of mass shootings and other troubling signs of our times — these are all interconnected reflections of where America is in a cyclic historical process: social integration followed by disintegration, discord and violence. Turchin and others have observed this pattern repeatedly in civilizations from ancient Rome and early Chinese dynasties up to the present day.”

“Historians, scholars and even poets have long been familiar with (civilization’s) cycles of rise and fall, but understanding them has proved more difficult. The ideas of Thomas Malthus …that population growth will exceed growth in agricultural production, leading to mass immiseration (literally: The act of making miserable, especially of a population as a whole… ie: impoverishment) …provide one sort of starting point.”

“But civilizations are more than a big, undifferentiated mass of people. Elites can and do prosper while average citizens’ welfare declines, as happened in Victorian England, in our own Gilded Age and again since the 1970s.”

“Elites have their own population dynamics, and can suffer their own equivalence of immiseration when they outstrip their resource base (read: the general population). Thus, both elites and masses go through similar cycles, which are interconnected, as well as interacting with the structures of the state, where elites contest for power and maintain the strength and well-being of the whole society.”

“Jack Goldberg’s 1991 book: “Revolution and Rebellion in the Early Modern World” was the first to develop a coherent explanatory model with all the pieces connected, which Turchin has modified slightly in his work.”

The question becomes… does the so-called elite retain continuity between cycles? Does Philip K Dick’s Gnostic epiphany hold true? Regardless, we believe that it is safe to say… The Empire Never Ended.

Return of the Archons Pt 2 - Gnostic Archons as Extra-Terrestrial Overlords

“An archon, in the Gnosticism of late antiquity, was any of several servants of the Demiurge… the "creator god" that stood between the human race and a transcendent God that could only be reached through gnosis. In this context they have the role of the angels and demons of the Old Testament. They were thus called from the Greek word ἄρχοντες, "principalities", or "rulers" …by reason that they held the world to have been created and ruled by malevolent Archons. The term was taken from the ancient Greek position of office "archon".

- Wikipedia

In part one of this series, we examined the Archon mythology from a political/historical perspective. We suggested that there are certain similarities between biblical era Archons, ie: bureaucrat or petty ruler… and the intellectual erosion of our contemporary politicians. We then painted a psychedelic picture that overlaid modern politics with the great science fiction author, Philip K Dick’s infamous 2-3-74 incident… accordingly, The Empire Never Ended.

Dick’s dual-reality time-slip of experiencing Biblical era Roman occupation, superimposed over his “present” existence… being in two timelines at once… was the perfect segue into examining the mystical Gnostic interpretation of Archons as minions of the Demiurge. The ancient Gnostic mythology blurs the line between overt, worldly politics and a covert interpretation of spiritual, occult forces, impacting humanity.

Interestingly, within contemporary esoteric investigations into the ancient Gnostic writings that were uncovered near the Egyptian town of Nag Hammadi in 1945, known as the Nag Hammadi Codices, a strange narrative has emerged, correlating the Gnostic understanding of the Archons with Ancient Astronaut Theory, extra-terrestrial contact and modern ufology. As this site draws inspiration from the ancient Gnostic sensibilities… and as we enjoy contemporary mythologies around such topics… the Archon as ancient alien narrative resonates with our occult interests.

In part two of this series, we will delve deeper into this curious and astonishing tale. Again, the strange narrative that is about to unfold came from a variety of unlikely sources.

One of the earliest and most prolific proponents of the Archon-as-extra-terrestrial theory is the self-educated free-lance author and comparative mythologist, John Lash. Much of his material can be found on his website: metahistory …from that site, we find this introductory statement:

“In the "high strangeness" of the Gnostic materials, the strangest factor of all is certainly the presence of the Archons. Here we confront an enigma of cosmic proportions. Where do we situate these weird entities in the evolutionary plot of the Gaia Mythos? Are they to be regarded as real entities, a species in their own right, albeit a non-terrestrial one? What is their relation to Gaia, the intelligence of the biosphere? And how do the Archons in turn relate to humanity?”

- John Lash

In an article entitled: The Gnostic Theory of Alien Intrusion, Lash continues:

“Gnosis (“inner knowing”) was a path of experimental mysticism in which the initiates of the Mystery Schools explored the psyche and the cosmos at large. Using psychoactive plants, yoga, and sex magic, these ancient seers experienced altered states and developed siddhis (magical powers that are the products of spiritual advancement through sādhanās such as meditation and yoga), occult skills such as clairaudience and remote viewing. Gnosis was a kind of yogic noetic science melded with parapsychology. In heightened perception, Gnostics developed a vast cosmological vision centered in a female deity, the Divine Sophia. The Gnostic creation myth is unique in that it includes a full-blown explanation of how inorganic alien beings came to be present in our solar system.

The Nag Hammadi material contains reports of visionary experiences of the initiates; including first-hand encounters with inorganic beings called Archons. Gnostic teachings explain that these entities arose in the early stage of formation of the solar system, before the Earth was formed. Archons inhabit the solar system, the extraterrestrial realm as such, but they can intrude on Earth. Interestingly, this Gnostic insight accords closely with the view of Jacques Vallee, who maintains that ET/cyborgs probably belong to the local planetary realm.

Vallee also proposes that the ET/UFO enigma is a “spiritual control system,” a phenomenon that “behaves like a conditioning process.” (see Vallee’s: Messengers of Deception). This is exactly what Gnostics said about the Archons: they can affect our minds by subliminal conditioning techniques. Their main tactics are mental error (intellectual virus, or false ideology, especially religious doctrines) and simulation. Archons are predatory, unlike a wide range of non-human and other-dimensional beings also know to the Gnostics, beings who are benevolent or neutral toward humanity.”

- John Lash

In his works, Lash interprets portions of the Nag Hammadi Codices, specifically the Secret Book of John, also known as the Apocryphon of John …wherein the apostle describes the Gnostic mythological system, including the nature of the Archons. The codex begins with the following initial description…

“Our contest is not against flesh and blood, rather, the authorities (Archons) of the universe and the spirits of wickedness.” I have sent you this because you inquire about the reality of the authorities. Their chief is blind...”

The Apocryphon goes on to describe the creation of the chief Archon… the Demiurge (aka: Yaldabaoth)…

“She (Sophia) wanted to bring forth something like herself, without the consent of the spirit, and because of the invincible power within her, her thought was not an idle thought. Something came out of her that was imperfect and different in appearance from her and was misshapen. When Sophia saw what her desire had produced, it changed into the figure of a snake with the face of a lion. Its eyes were like flashing bolts of lightning. She surrounded it with a bright cloud and put a throne in the middle of the cloud so that no one would see it except the holy spirit, who is called the mother of the living. She named her offspring Yaldabaoth.”

Within the section of the Apocryphon titled: The Reality of the Rulers also known as The Hypostasis of the Archons, the apostle continues the narrative…

“A veil exists between the world above and the realms below, and shadow came into being beneath the veil. That shadow became matter, and that shadow was projected apart. And what she (Sophia) had created came to be in matter, like an aborted fetus. It assumed a shape molded out of shadow, and became an arrogant beast resembling a lion. It was androgynous, as I have already said, because it derived from matter. Opening his eyes, he (Yaldabaoth) saw a vast quantity of endless matter, and he turned arrogant, saying, ‘I am god, and there is no one but me.’

Note the Gnostic take on the quote from Exodus 20:3, where Jehovah tells Moses… “thou shalt have no other gods before me.”

It is from these passages that Lamb extrapolated his correlation between the Archons and the modern ufology description of common mythic extra-terrestrial entities. Lamb equates the ‘aborted fetus’ depiction with what ufo pop media calls: The Greys. Lamb correlates the earlier referenced depiction of the ‘snake with the face of a lion’ with what pop media refers to as: The Reptilians. Although Lamb’s interpretation may be considered quite a stretch by many of you, dear discerning readers, this analogy has been embraced by multiple ufology and New Age sites, across the internet. As with this post, most of these sites re-hash Lamb’s material.

Again, from Lamb:

“The Apocryphon of John adds crucial details to the Archon scenario. For one thing, it presents a rare instance where Sophia is actually called the mother of the Archons. It also says of the chief Archon that "he did not obey the place from which he came." This is a telling detail. The fact that the chief Archon moves away from the places where he arose indicates a key concern of Gnostics: the boundary-violating tendencies of the Archons. From the outset they are an invasive species.”

The connotation here suggests an answer to a fundamental quandary of ufology… Why would alleged anciently occurring extra-terrestrials have such interest in humanity and planet Earth? Why would ancient aliens be so preoccupied with a small back-water planet situated on the outskirts of the milky way?  Was/is this intrusion the alien invasion so colorfully depicted in the of myriad Sci-Fi tales? Surely such an invasion wouldn't be launched merely to mine gold, or to copulate with earth women?

Lamb’s interpretation of the ancient Gnostic materials suggests that these extra-terrestrial entities/energies arose by virtue of a cosmic passionate error, perpetrated by the Aeon (emanation) Sophia, wherein the realm of the spiritual, immaterial world transitioned into the physical, material world. Sophia’s passion resulted in the manifestation of the blind, finite creator god… the demiurge and his minions, the Archons. Lamb also seems to correlate Sophia with Gaia… planet earth.

If Sophia is akin to Gaia… Mother Nature or Mother Earth... then the Archons become impetuous, incorrigible and squabbling sibling energies… covetous of their Mother? Rather than an Alien Invasion scenario ala: Independence Day and its sequel: Independence Day: Resurgence… Lamb’s scenario is more of a Divine Invasion. Archonic entities, arising in our solar system, occupy Earthspace out of a jealous impulse to manipulate Earthling humans… Sophia’s new darlings.

Enter Castaneda

Not to fear dear readers… for this soggy saga gets even stranger. As Lamb unfolds this incredible-yet fascinating mythology, he introduces as collaborative evidence, the works of non other than the granddaddy of armchair shamanism… the one and only Carlos Castaneda. Lamb draws parallels between the ancient Gnostic mythology of the Archons, and specific magical adversaries of Castaneda’s Toltec sorcerers, represented by the enigmatic mentor: Don Juan Matus.

In our next installment of this series, we will examine more closely the relationship between ancient Gnostic Archons, ancient astronauts and Castaneda’s Yaqui way of knowledge… a separate reality indeed. Stay tuned intrepid reader… for these tales of power get even stranger. Until next time… remember that the truth is stranger than fiction!

Note: In researching this series, there appears to be some controversy surrounding Mr. Lamb, his theories and his alleged prejudices. This controversy apparently involves anti-Semitic accusations. As these accusations do not appear to be substantiated, and in fairness to all concerned, we withhold any opinion on this matter, other than posit that any form of ethnic prejudice is unacceptable and morally irrehensible. All peoples of this Earth are sacred. Our sensibilities in such matters align with the great tekgnostic saint  Will Rodgers, when he said…

I never met a man I didn’t like…
