Blues for Allah

Arabian wind
The Needle's Eye is thin
The Ships of State sail on mirage
but drown in sand
in No-Man's Land
where ALLAH does command
What good is spilling
blood? It will not
grow a thing

"TASTE ETERNITY"
the sword sings… Blues for ALLAH
In'sh'ALLAH…

- from “Blues for Allah”, words by Robert Hunter

The senseless escalation of government sanctioned violence upon the citizens of the Gaza Strip, as well as the citizens of Israel is a despicable act against humanity. The Israeli government and the Hamas paramilitary organization are co-responsible for this indefensible action. Peace now!

Goddess Bless the governments of Israel & Hamas… Quickly!!!

There I was in Germany in the USAF. Blues for Allah had just been released. What a magical musical mood it presented to me. Changed my world. Respectfully, Dennis from Oregon.
Me, too; I dug it. However, THE VILLAGE VOICE's rock-critic-in-residence, Robert Christgau, branded the Lp to be their most "neurasthenic" material to date, it then being the autumn of 1975. Great cover art by Philip Garris, too ( :-)}
